Probably one of the most visited articles within our service department is in regards to Event Audiences. This is actually a method where it is possible to utilize our API to add an individual into an audience and once you'd like; click, after a specific period of time on the page, landing on the subdomain, and more! You'll be asked to code the Javascript on your end for API calls that are special. We cannot code custom events, although we can give the code that should perform when you need to add an individual to your viewer. Confused? Avoid being! I am here to walk you through it.
Ascertain how how/when you desire your API call to occur. One is the best way to bring a user that lands on a specific subdomain, so that's what I'll be explaining here.
By default, we start your account using an"All Visitors" audience that tracks any user that lands to a full page with your tracking tag installed. In the event you have www.yoursite.com and sale.yoursite.com, the"All of Visitors" audience will track customers to both. But let us say you need an audience for that sale sub domain. Event Audiences are perfect for that!
Let us first make the audience in your ideal Audience accounts. This will let our system know to look for the event that you are about to set up.
To create an Event Audience, click Manage-> Create Audience. Give a name to the Audience, specify a duration, and select the Occasion approach. From the box, then put in a tracking name that is unique with this particular Audience. In this case, we've used'audience' however this really is anything you want. Just make sure to make use of something unique for each viewer.
Save the Audience when you are done.
Next, you'll need to add some code to your site. This is code on your site you installed as well as our tracking tag. Therefore I will install it to load at that point in my scenario I want an individual to be added into the viewer when the page loads.
